Milestones: WALKING!

We spent the day at Kasen's grandma and grandpa's house in New Hampshire to do his first birthday cake smash. Unfortunately at that point Kasen was cranky and found the cake smash sticky and messy, which meant we didn't get as many shots as we wanted. Oh well. It was still a ton of fun, and of course, quite messy! We ordered the custom banners from Etsy (for use for his birthday party next week too!) and the cupcake is from Crumbs - the colossal birthday cake!

Additionally, Kasen also became much more comfortable with balancing and walking. With objects or furniture that were at his height, he would cruise, take a few slow steps on his own, and grab onto another piece of furniture and cruise. He was doing it on his own, voluntarily! We thought it might be great to see if he could balance himself for long periods of time. Lo and behold. he was able to take 8-10 steps before falling (from 3-4 steps a couple of weeks ago). I call that walking! Great job little guy - what a great birthday present!
