Almost 20 months!

He also will tell you what each of the animals say - Ow-woo says "Hoo Hoo!"...same with the Monkey (MaLau) who also says Hoo Hoo! Hahaha. And the Lion (Cee jee) and the Tiger (FuFu) say "Roaaar" while Dog "Gau Gau" says "Woah Woah!"

When he wants to brush his teeth he will say "Nga Nga." Since we introduced the electric toothbrush he actually enjoys brushing and wants to brush teeth himself. He no longer complains and we are able to get every single tooth. Awesome!

Every day I let him pick what shoes or what color shirt he wants to wear - the key is to only give two choices. He always seems to pick these brown boots that he has (I got the brown pedipeds for just over $20 on Diapers.com). Ken's convinced that Kasen knows style already. We recently also moved onto more complicated books with even more animals to learn aside from the basic animals. We have alot of little people books that are currently the ones that he is most into.

Over the weekend he saw his Dad leave to get into the car and both he and Aibo looked out of the window and say "Baba hai jiao" meaning that Dad left! I was so surprised when he said that.

He can do "bai sun" - when you ask him to do "chaing chaing" he will clasp his hands and move them up and down in a prayer stance! He's been able to do this since learning it around Chinese New Year. Cracks me up!

He is learning big/medium/small. We do this with his lotion bottles every day after his bath when he is getting dressed - live clean baby oatmeal body lotion is "big", aquaphor is "medium", l'occitane mom & baby is "small" and hydrocortisone "extra small." He can only say "small" but he knows exactly the order they go in by size. Wow!

We also began to teach him colors, letters, numbers, and will do so in both English and Cantonese simultaneously. He knows blue, red, yellow, green and when you ask him for the blocks in those colors he will give it to you. He knows the letters A, B and C, and can say "two" and "three."

This morning he learned the word for Ox - I told him once and not only knew where it was in the book but he repeated after me! Same with the Chinese word for "button" - Nao Nao. His grandma showed him yesterday and he now remembers what a "Nao Nao" is. Por Por showed him the star and now Kasen recognizes all of the stars and will show me and say "Star."

He understands alot. I'll ask him which animal or which book do you want to bring to Yeh Yeh's house? He picks out something and then runs back to me. Love it!

Oh and he says "No!" alot. No to putting on another sweater, no to a certain food, no when someone else tries to carry him. Hilarious.

He is really proud of his accomplishments too and is constantly looking for praise. Last month he put together all of the buckles in his high chair and was so proud when he was done he goes "AH!" and then looks around to see if people are looking. He will then give high fives all around or begin clapping to congratulate himself. Hahah! He really loves to show off and make people laugh.

We noticed that was getting significantly taller - he's thinning out. His face is lengthening and I am noticing all of his 18-24 month clothes are already snug =( That was fast....wasn't expecting to transition to 2T already, but that must mean he's more than 33 inches tall now?

Lately he is a terrible eater. Refuses to eat sometimes! When he does eat he constantly asks for "Pop Pop" - homemade fruit popsicles. He also calls chocolate Pocky "pop pop". He loves Pocky. And he loves anything chocolate. Like hot chocolate - sometimes he asks me to make it. Also recently he is into the little plums. Oh and he loves chrysanthemum tea - "go fa cha". I never saw that one coming.
