Adventures in Solids: Green Beans!

We got these delicious super fresh sweet green beans from Russo's, this wonderful little produce and baked goods market in Watertown known for its fresh fruits and veggies (and delicious mini fruit tarts with TDF custard and amazing fresh pastas and raviolis). There hoards and hoards of people hovering over the green bean bin which resulted in my husband also making a beeline for the bin. Since Kasen has already had four days of sweet potatoes with no allergies, we decided to change it up and add some green beans to the mix. While most say that the green beans are pretty fibrous, I agree, but the beaba baby food maker pureed it to smithereens! The puree was as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Anyway, I had fed Kasen his usual tablespoon of rice cereal followed by an ounce of sweet potatoes which was fine....until I tried to introduce the green beans. Whoops. Bad idea. Kasen complained right away because he was full. I should know better than to do that. One veggie at a time!
