Rainy Day Fun at Burlington Mall

After a long couple of days in Houston and Dallas, TX where it was damp and rainy, to come home to New England sunshine and warmth was a god send. Not. Sunday was horrible. After planning for weeks to do an outdoor picnic at North Point Park in Cambridge, we had to scrap those plans after the forecast had a high chance of rain in the cards. We ended up meeting at Burlington Mall's food court for lunch, and to allow the kids to run off some excess energy. When we left to head to the Korean market (H Mart!) I had realized I had planned poorly - I was in a t-shirt, ripped jeans and patent leather birks. It was 72 degrees that morning. By mid afternoon the temps had plummeted to the 50s. And to make matters worse, it was raining. Not just drizzling - it was a torrential downpour, flooding the streets. I luckily had an extra shirt, hoodie, and socks for Kasen and an umbrella, so decided to make a dash for it while keeping K as dry as possible.

I was already sick and the rain definitely made me more sick! But the kids had so much fun, and we had stocked up yummy groceries for the week that makes for delicious dinners and leftover lunches, so me being sick as a byproduct was totally worth it. Looking forward to the next baby/toddler/mom/dad meetup!
