Kasen's Favorite Teethers

Given that I just purchased a few extra from trusty Amazon prime for my sister-in-law in Hong Kong - my nephew Jayden is just about three months now, exciting stuff - thought it was opportune to outline some of Kasen's favorite teethers since he is well, teething like crazy.

You guessed it. We also use and love the comotomo bottles. They're amazing. I discuss them here in a previous post. So when these were brand new and came out a couple of months ago, I jumped at the chance to try them because they are so thoughtful with their design. So simple yet genius. It's easy to clean, it's baby finger sized, and best of all it has multiple points for grabbing and holding, so easy! Those little points are just perfect, it's like Kasen doesn't miss shoving his fingers in his mouth when he has this in his hands. I bought an orange one and blue one, and just recently bought multiple more to shove in bags, at the house, at the in-laws, etc. and i even love the packaging. isn't that absurd? ugh. i'm such a consumer.

como tomo sums it up perfectly:

Why? Your little ones love to chomp on their itty bity fingers and there's probably a good reason for that. Our silicone tethers are 'baby-finger-sized' and perfectly designed for their little hands to easily grab and hold. You've found the best teething companion for our angel, and we promise you an abundance of silent joy!'

needless to say it's one of Kasen's favorites. the comotomo folks are brilliant.

i wasn't sure how receptive how kasen would be to these, but he actually loves them. they're easy to hold, he bends them so that they are shaped to his mouth, and there are multiple sensory points to enjoy.  it was created by a pediatrician, so you can't go wrong with that! i bought multiple sets, again to stash everywhere so we always have something on hand for him to chomp on as opposed to his little fingers.

in the early stages of teething these silicone teethers from nuby were fantastic - the little bristles massaged the gums and totally soothed him. the problem is now that his bottom two front teeth have emerged i'm hesitant to let him use them for fear of the bristles breaking off (he gnaws VIGOROUSLY). but up until his teeth started to emerge, these were just perfect little teethers. they're also perfectly shaped for hands to grab, and easy for little babies' mouths and their teething pleasure.

the only annoyance? you can't choose the color! i ordered two hoping one would at least be a "boy" color but got two pink. oh well. the second time around when i got one for my sister in law i got green. come on amazon. let us pick the colors!
